A report of military service (gunchūjō ) by Tannowa Sukeshige of the eighth month of the first year of Kannō (1350). Monogrammed by Hatakeyama Kunikiyo. Northern Court era name.
Tannowa Hikotarō Sukeshige, a householder [gokenin] of the province of Izumi states his military service.
Concerning the aforementioned, when enemies holed up inside Kōnoji temple in this province, we rushed to Kawaikuchi Ichizaka on the twenty-third day of this past month. I performed the battle service of advancing to the vanguard and scattering the enemy. This was witnessed by Jinbo Jirō saemon no jō. Therefore, for proof, I request your monogram in haste. I humbly speak thus.
