去九月六日大将軍国中仁御発向之時代官
舎弟大輔房馳向木島付御着到同七日相向
八木城同八日両日致合戦之忠節候次於蕎原
宮尾城者若党彦次郎御共仕今月二日於
信達庄仏性寺者属杒井彦五郎入道着到
罷向所々致忠勤就中同八日於当国小嶋落
人彦八男召取畢将又大木城之合戦時者
随分致忠節候畢然者早為後証欲下賜
御判仍粗言上如件

Tannowa Shigeuji petition for reward (gunchūjō ) of the thirteenth day of the tenth month of the third year of the Kenmu era (1336). Monogrammed by Hatakeyama Kunikiyo. Northern Court era name.
Tannowa Suketarō Shigeuji of Izumi provinces states:
The sixth day of the past ninth month, when the grand general (Hatakeyama Kunikiyo] set off to Izumi, my representative, and younger brother Taifubō went to Kinoshima—report of arrival issued. The seventh day he advanced to Yagi castle and on the eighth day—rainy—he performed military service. Next, my retainer (wakatō) Hikojirō was at the Miyao castle in Sobura. On the second day of this month at Busshōji in Shindachi estate he joined the forces of Kashii Hikogorō nyūdōand [reported his] arrival. He then set off and performed varied military service in various places. Furthermore, on the 8th day at Koshima, in the same province, we captured the straggler Hikohachi. Furthermore, we performed ample military service during the battle at Ōki castle. To conclude, we desire for this document to be monogrammed so as to serve in the future for proof [of our service]. Thus humbly I state.
