Emperor Chōkei edict (rinji ) of the twelfth day of the ninth month of the first year of the Bunchū era (1372). Southern Court era name.

"I have heard that you performed military service on my behalf during the battle that occurred on the sixth day of this month. This is most impressive." Know the Ruler’s will, which I hereby convey.
